  • Bk, Man Bahadur (2018). Eradicating Hunger: Rebuilding Food Regime.  Kathmandu: Ekta Book Distributors.

Man Bahadur Bk, PhD, is a Fulbright alumnus, and Secretary for Internal Affairs and Law of Province No. 5 in Nepal.  The book is available at Ekta Book Distributors:  http://www.ektabooks.com/bookdetails/1032

    Summary of the book:
Eradicating Hunger begins with the global challenges of food security to eradicate hunger. It states that though there is tremendous achievement in global development still 800 million, just over one in nine, people go to bed every night without food and the largest number are in the least developed countries of South Asia and Africa. Eradicating hunger is not only the responsibility of the state, but it is a higher humanitarian aspect of the human society. It is also linked with the human culture and civilization.  Community banking at grassroots level and community financing in agriculture and food system have been taken as important measures to build the local food regime.  Dr. Bk has laid out an ambitious but doable agenda of eradicating hunger not only in Nepal but globally.
