About the Program

The Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Short-Term Program for U.S. Teachers (Fulbright DAST) is a program in the suite of Fulbright Teacher Exchange Programs. The program sends expert American primary and secondary educators (referred to as participants from hereon) to Nepal to support projects in schools, teacher training colleges, government ministries, and/or educational NGOs.  Participants will engage in activities for a duration of 2-6 weeks, spanning from April to December.

Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) oversees program funding and coordination in collaboration with the Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board (FFSB) and operates under a cooperative agreement with IREX.
