| | | Message From The Commission | |
| | The Fulbright Commission in Nepal is very pleased to announce the resumption of in-person services at the Education Advising Center and full capacity operation of the Prometric Test Center starting mid-November, 2021 after the Tihar holidays. Although risks associated with COVID-19 pandemic persist, the decreasing trend of infections, increase in vaccine availability, lifting of restrictions by the Government of Nepal and steady resumption of in-person operations of schools and universities across the country allows us to open our services for in-person activities. Since March 18, 2020, all of our key advising activities and interviews and selections (except the Test Center operations which resumed in half capacity from August 2020) have been conducted in the virtual format. We are proud of our staff who demonstrated the ability to maintain program vibrancy and the spirit of community with our students, service seekers and partners and collaborators, even in the virtual format. In resuming in-person services, strict adherence of safety protocols as well as limiting number of people for events, will be in place. As a center intended for increasing people to people interface and exchange of ideas, we are thrilled to be restarting a new phase in operations at this stage of the pandemic. We will maintain the possibility for online participation in-person events in a hybrid model to meet the need of the times and to ensure access to our programming from all across Nepal and from around the world. As a kick starter to the resumption of in-person programming activities, the Commission hosted new and continuing members of the Board, the Public Affairs Section, US Embassy as well as the staff for a meet and greet session on October 6, 2021. | | | | |

| | | | | The Fulbright 75 Virtual Art Exhibit was curated in celebration of 75 years of the Fulbright Program. Throughout the program’s history, Fulbrighters in the arts have utilized their grants to deepen their artistic practices through cross-cultural collaboration and the adaptation of novel tools, techniques and resources. Each piece included in this exhibit was created during a Fulbright grant, or was inspired by the connections and experiences of alumni while living, working and creating within their host community.
