Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Program

Support English language instruction in Nepal while engaging with local communities and classrooms.

Program Overview

The Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Program places U.S. students and recent graduates in classrooms abroad to assist in teaching English while serving as cultural ambassadors. In Nepal, ETAs are hosted at Nepali schools, where they work alongside local educators to enhance English language instruction and promote mutual understanding.

The program emphasizes cultural exchange as much as teaching, encouraging ETAs to engage with their host communities both inside and outside the classroom.
