| June has been a month of preparations at USEF-Nepal – orienting Nepalese students and scholars for their time in the U.S. and planning for American Fulbrighters’ arrivals in July. We conducted orientations for Nepalese Fulbright and Opportunity Funds grantees heading to the U.S. for their respective programs this Fall. Additionally, EAC also conducted Pre-departure orientations for Nepali students bound for the U.S. for their further studies. These programs cover important topics such as the U.S. academic system, American culture, and lifestyle, what to pack, self-care, safety and more. With 12 American Fulbrighters arriving in the next few months, we are also busy finalizing their travel itineraries and visas as well as preparing for their in-person orientations. Do not miss out on a variety of different opportunities for Americans as well as Nepalese students, scholars and Fulbright alumni. Scroll down to the Events and Opportunities section to find out more. Register for sessions to learn more about various USEF-Nepal opportunities and to meet and hear from experts in a variety of different fields. |

| The Commission also conducted another session for the 2023-2024 Fulbright Foreign Student (Master’s) grantees. The purpose of this orientation was to equip the Master's cohort of Sarita Pariyar (Cornell University, Asian Studies), Shishir Lamichhane (Georgetown University, LLM), Rasmita Suwal (Syracuse University, Forensic Science), and Sanjiv Gupta (Boston University, Public Health), with the necessary knowledge and preparation for their upcoming time in the U.S. We are delighted to have collaborated with program alumni Chandni Jaiswal (2019, Emory University for Health, Management and Policy) and Seema Subedi (2018, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health for Public Health) for this orientation. Their valuable insights and tips provided the fellows with a deeper understanding of the program and will undoubtedly enhance their overall experience.
We wish them all the best! |
