Always supportive and engaged, Garrett helped to steer USEF-N through a period of program changes and leadership transition. We are deeply grateful for his contributions during his time in Nepal and wish him all the best in his next assignment. We also are pleased to welcome Mike Harker as the new Public Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy and USEF-N Board Chair. We look forward to Mike’s leadership in the coming months and years. |

| | USEF-Nepal’s EducationUSA Advising Center successfully concluded its Fall 2024 University Tour, held from September 16-20. This year, we were proud to welcome 37 U.S. institutions, nearly doubling the participation from our spring fair. The expansion provided Nepali students with greater opportunities to connect with U.S. colleges and universities. The tour visited Pokhara and Kathmandu, drawing 495 students in Pokhara and 2,835 in Kathmandu. In collaboration with the U.S. Embassy, the tour featured highly popular, fully-booked visa information sessions conducted by Consular Officers. We are grateful for the support of 30 student volunteers who assisted with event registration and ensured the smooth flow of students at the fairs. Our special thanks to Lewis Cardenas, EducationUSA’s Regional Manager for South Asia, for his participation and support throughout the tour. |
