Program Activities

The Fulbright Specialist Program empowers host institutions to design projects that address their unique priorities while maintaining a focus on education or training. Given the short-term nature of the exchange, proposed projects should have well-defined, achievable objectives that can be completed during the Specialist’s visit.

Specialists have previously supported host institutions through activities such as:

• Delivering seminars or workshops
• Consulting on faculty or workforce development
• Developing academic or training curricula and materials
• Lecturing at the graduate or undergraduate level
• Conducting needs assessments or program evaluations

Please Note: Personal research projects, including clinical medical research or initiatives involving patient contact, are not eligible for funding under the Fulbright Specialist Program.
